Student Success Statement #7

"If it's not right, do not do it; if it's not true, do not say it."
                                                                          -Marcus Aurelius

Reflection: What this man is saying, is the truth. If something's not right, simply just don't do it. If something's not true, don't go blabbering about some dumb rumors you don't even know where they came from. They could have came from a dishonest person and you make that person feel powerful by spreading what they said into someone's mouth. For example, let's say someone spreads a rumor about someone else saying that person has been around. You don't know if it's true. All you know is that person is an straight A student who reaches for what she wants. Maybe the rumor inventor is jealous of that person. Don't spread anything around if you don't have proof of what's been spread. Get your facts straight first.

The Honest Four

The four college students from Patterson University, in New Jersey are the most honest people I have heard about. They went into the store thinking it was open, saw no clerk, but still went to pick up the items they wanted, and left the money on the cashier's desk? That talks good about them. And they even left change for the tax. They chose the right. They knew how to value the owner and themselves by not stealing anything. Stealing the things was simple, they just had to take the stuff & leave, but no. They did what was right and payed what they took. That is a-ma-zing.

Chiropractors and their patients believe that problems with bone and nerve alignment can cause illness and problems in other parts of the body, a view not widely accepted by allopathic physicians and other traditional medical practitioners.

Chiropractors manipulate their patients’ spinal columns for treatment. They may prescribe specific diets or exercises, but not drugs. Chiropractors cannot perform surgery.

Most chiropractors establish a private practice and some provide home treatments. Others form group partnerships in clinics or chiropractic hospitals.

Student Success Statement #6

                                                     Student Success Statement #6

"I have three messages:
     (1) We should never, ever give up.
     (2) You are never too old to chase your dreams.
     (3) It looks like a solitary sport, but it takes a team."
                                                                  -Diana Nyad, American Swimmer

Reflection: This woman is magnificent, first of all. To swim for 53 hours from Cuba, all the way to Florida is truly amazing. Her messages show us that dreams/goals can be accomplished. She's teaching us that a team with people who choose the right can bring you to success. She's shouting out that we should not give up, no matter how hard something is, or if people doubt you'll accomplish it. She's informing us that success is simple; you just gotta keep trying till you accomplish your goal. Just try again if something goes wrong. Choose the right, and you will achieve greatness.
