Medical Assistant

                                                                     Medical Assistant

Duties and Responsibilities:

            Medical assistants help physicians and nurses deliver patient care. They schedule appointment; take blood pressures, respirations, temperatures; and perform other routine patient pre-examining procedures. Sometimes they help with office and clerical tasks. Medical assistants work in hospitals, clinics, and private physician offices.

Average Salary: $17,000 - $18,000

Educational Requirements:

            Students should complete high school with courses in biology, physical science, office management, communications, and human relations, although medical assistant training programs may accept GED certificates. Medical assistant training programs are provided by community colleges and for-profit technical training schools. They may take between six months and two years to complete.

Reflection: You can create a masterpiece everyday with teamwork. You can autograph you work with excellence. For example, there birds are autographing there work with a great sight, just outside your window. Teamwork!

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

                                               Licensed Practical Nurse

Duties and Responsibilities:

            Licensed practical nurses (LPNs) work with and under the direction of registered nurses and physicians. They care for injured, handicapped, and sick patients. Their duties include taking temperatures, blood pressures, and pulses. They also give injections, change dressings, and help give patients baths. In general, they care for patients in hospitals, nursing homes, and extended care facilities. Some practical nurses work in private homes.

Average Salary: $16,000 - $23,000

Educational Requirements:

            Although a high school diploma or GED certificate is not always required, it is encouraged. LPNs do not have the extensive professional education that is required for a registered nurse.

            State approved training programs are offered by the hospitals, vocational schools, junior colleges, and private schools.

Paul 'Bear' Bryant was an American college football player and coach. He lived from September 11, 1913 – January 26, 1983 . He passed away at the age of 69. He was the 11th child of 12. He attended Fordyce High School, standing 6 ft 1in and by the time he was an adult, he was 6 ft 4 in tall.

Industrial Hygienist

Duties and Responsibilities:

                Industrial hygienists evaluate health hazards, conduct health risk assessments, manage industrial or business health programs, and provide consultation.  They may be administrators, researchers, consultants, or teachers. Many work as part of an industrial or government team, although some have private practices.

Industrial hygienists often:

v  Collect samples and perform laboratory analyses.

v  Check worker exposure to radiation, vibrations, and noise.

v  Calibrate equipment.

v  Investigate possible health hazards.

v  Conduct epidemiological research.

v  Instruct employees on injury prevention techniques.

Average Salary: $40,000 - $60,000

Educational Requirements:

                Students should take challenging college preparatory courses, especially in mathematics and science, during high school.

                A career in industrial hygiene requires a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in occupational health and safety, environmental health engineering, or the physical sciences. Many jobs require certification and/or a Master’s Degree in these, or related, fields. Certification requires successful completion of the American Board of Industrial Hygiene examination.
