"Attitude is the mind's paintbrush. It can color any situation."
- Anonymous
Reflection: This quote is true. Attitude can color any situation. Lets say your in a sad, gloomy kind of attitude. In a way, you're coloring that situation in like a blueish grayish color because some say those colors represent sadness. If you're happy, it's like a yellow colored attitude because you seem very cheerful and glad. If you happen to be mad, it can be an orangeish redish color because those colors seem to be the ones most commonly used to represent anger. Attitude can paint any situation.

"He who walks with the wise will grow wise, but a companion of fools suffers harm."
- A proverb
Reflection: Yes, hanging out with the wrong crowd can get you into a lot of trouble. Make sure you know who you hang out with. For example, let's say a week before your high school graduation day you go with some friends to go break into a house. Now you know this is wrong, but if you don't accept you will get kicked out of the group. So you go. A person in that house you broke into loses their life. Since you were part of that crime you get arrested and receive time in jail. Now see, you didn't get to graduate did you? Why? Well because you hung out with the wrong people. Learn who the people you hang out with are, if not serious consequences are to be sprung.

"You can't hire someone else to do your push-ups for you."
- Jim Rohn
- Jim Rohn
Reflection: Mr. Rohn has a point. You have to do things yourself and for yourself. No one can do it for you. For example, Derek Rose and his coach found someone who would take an exam and pose as Rose so Rose would be allowed to play in the basketball team because he was such a great player but wasn't able to pass the exam. That was choosing the wrong. I mean yes maybe they did find someone who could do something for them but the truth was revealed and Rose and the coach were in a lot of trouble. If you happen to find someone who can do something for you, you'll never learn. You'll, as well, bring consequences to yourself if you decide to choose the wrong. You have to learn to do stuff for yourself. Now one can just come and do it for you. You have to take baby, little steps and learn yourself. Practice makes perfect. Honesty makes perfect. You must and shall learn that you only live once and you should make the best of it by doing things yourself instead of hiring someone like Derek Rose and his coach did, because "Every action in this world will bear a consequence."

Integrity
Mr. Lincoln had promised his mother, who was sick in bed and didn't have much time to live, which Lincoln at the time was nine, that he would not smoke or drink whiskey ever in his life. This Colonel from Kentucky offered the former President a drink of whiskey. The President refused his offer and they carried on their journey. The man later offered Lincoln to smoke with him. Lincoln then told him the story of his mother and the promise he had made her. The Colonel, full of emotions, said that it was a great promise anyone could have made to their, then dying, mother and that the President wasn't obligated to drink or smoke with him.
Now that was truly a great promise Mr. Lincoln made to his mother. Integrity should be taken upon us all seriously. We must do what we promise to do and we must always choose to do the right. A way I can show integrity is by always doing what I promise to do, be truthful and respectful, and always choose the right even when in temptation.

April 11th
Today on this day, 11th day of the month, we are staying in silence to honor those who stay in silence when they want to speak about their rights and feelings. LGBTQ people have rights and many don't let them talk. I am here today, staying in silence to be in the shoes of those who can't express themselves because they get constantly judged for liking/loving someone of the same sex. We are all human. We all have rights, and I believe that loving anyone you desire is one of them. Whether we are heterosexual, homosexual, bisexual, transsexual and so forth, we have all share the same rights. We are a community. STAND UP FOR WHAT IS RIGHT AND SUPPORT OUR FELLOW LGBTQ HUMANS.

"Kindness is the essence of greatness."
- Joseph B. Wirthlin
Reflection: Mr. Wirthlin is correct. Kindness is the essence of greatness. If you are kind to someone, others will be kind to you. For example, let's suppose you help out your mother by taking inside the groceries she has just brought home. You are being a kind and considerate person. Your mother will most likely reward you in someway. You may even reward yourself by having good feelings in your heart knowing you were caring enough to help her. Be kind, and you will receive many benefits of your kindness.
