Quote Reflection

"Obedience is central to becoming, being, and remaining happy."
                                                - David A. Bednar

Reflection: Obedience is truly important in one's society. Following the state rules is obedience. Being obedient in class doesn't get you in trouble does it? No it does not. Obedience isn't a matter of opinion, but obligation. Obedience is the great test of life and if you can be obedient, whoops then I think you have failed. If you are obedient, there will be no consequences to your actions. If there is consequences, I'm sure they're positive ones. Be obedient, it's not a hard task to do. Obedience and choosing the right can take you to higher places and better opportunities. Be obedient and you will remain happy.

Life Planning Notebook, 100+ Goals Reflection

Reflection: Life Planning Notebook, 100+ Goals

I love my life planning notebook. I try to read my goals everyday and I try my hardest to accomplish one goal per week. My goals are really special and important to me. I put heart and passion into my goals. I try my hardest to reach a goal. I have about 10 victories. Yes, I know it's not much, but my goals are beyond what I can do at the moment. My goals are a whole new level, like marriage or kids. Yes I have short term goals that I am currently working on. For example, I tried out for the basketball team, and guess what? I made the team! Now that's an amazing accomplishment for me. I truly believe I am capable of accomplishing everything, or anything I desire and wish, and totally dream of because anything and everything is possible. You just have to try your best and be persistent and determined.

Questions:
  1. What did you like best about this class?
  2. What did you dislike about this class?
  3. What can you recommend to improve this class?
  4. What will you always remember about this class?
Answers:
  1. What I liked best about this class was how we got to learn and research different health careers out there for us. I also liked the Student Success Statements because some quotes were just magnificent.
  2. I disliked that every day we had the same routine. Like, coming in, going to the blogger, the research, goals, and then the SSS. and finally the microsoft things. Doing the same thing sort of bored me a little though.
  3. I would recommend doing something different like more free time, but not a lot so people won't take advantage.
  4. I will always remember the class motto, "Choose the right." I will remember this always because when in doubt, and when at risk of choosing the wrong, I know I always have to choose the right.

Reflection: When you go to sleep early, you get enough of the stress you have in yourself and you lock it up. You become relaxed and you feel much better. When you wake up early, your mind is clear of any thoughts and you are more open minded hen when you wake up with having had hardly any rest. For example, when I don't get enough rest, I feel tired, lazy, and sleepy. That interferes with my studies and my concentration at school. "I would prefer even to fail with honor than win by cheating."
                                                - Sophocles

Reflection: Honestly I would like the same. I would much rather fail and have a good feeling in my heart knowing that I didn't cheat and I tried my hardest at whatever I was trying to accomplish. I know that by cheating I'm choosing the wrong and that is not okay. Cheating can bring consequences to one and those consequences can bring you down. For example, what if you really want to graduate from college and you have an important test you must take. If you cheat, sure there may be a chance where you actually pass the exam and get a high score. When you enter your profession and you are asked to do something, guess what? You don't know what to do because you cheated on that exam that was so informative and you didn't even bother to read the information because you knew you were going to get a great score anyway because you had the right answers. You have just been caught on what you did and now you are jobless and miserable. Who's fault is that? YOURS. You took that decision and there are the consequences. It's better to fail 100 times if possible than to win by cheating because you learn from your mistakes every time you fail, and that, now that makes you a better person each time.

Reflection: Yes, hanging out with  the wrong crowd can get you into a lot of trouble. Make sure you know who you hang out with. Since you were part of that crime you get arrested and receive time in jail. Now see, you didn't get to graduate did you? Why? Well because you hung out with the wrong people. "You can't hire someone else to do your push-ups for you."
                                                                                                    - Jim Rohn

Reflection: Mr. Rohn has a point. You have to do things yourself and for yourself. No one can do it for you. For example, Derek Rose and his coach found someone who would take an exam and pose as Rose so Rose would be allowed to play in the basketball team because he was such a great player but wasn't able to pass the exam. That was choosing the wrong. I mean yes maybe they did find someone who could do something for them but the truth was revealed and Rose and the coach were in a lot of trouble. If you happen to find someone who can do something for you, you'll never learn. You'll, as well, bring consequences to yourself if you decide to choose the wrong. You have to learn to do stuff for yourself. Now one can just come and do it for you. You have to take baby, little steps and learn yourself. Practice makes perfect. Honesty makes perfect. You must and shall learn that you only live once and you should make the best of it by doing things yourself instead of hiring someone like Derek Rose and his coach did, because "Every action in this world will bear a consequence."

Integrity

Mr. Lincoln had promised his mother, who was sick in bed and didn't have much time to live, which Lincoln at the time was nine, that he would not smoke or drink whiskey ever in his life. This Colonel from Kentucky offered the former President a drink of whiskey. The President refused his offer and they carried on their journey. The man later offered Lincoln to smoke with him. Lincoln then told him the story of his mother and the promise he had made her. The Colonel, full of emotions, said that it was a great promise anyone could have made to their, then dying, mother and that the President wasn't obligated to drink or smoke with him.

Now that was truly a great promise Mr. Lincoln made to his mother. Integrity should be taken upon us all seriously. We must do what we promise to do and we must always choose to do the right. A way I can show integrity is by always doing what I promise to do, be truthful and respectful, and always choose the right even when in temptation.

April 11th

Today on this day, 11th day of the month, we are staying in silence to honor those who stay in silence when they want to speak about their rights and feelings. LGBTQ people have rights and many don't let them talk. I am here today, staying in silence to be in the shoes of those who can't express themselves because they get constantly judged for liking/loving someone of the same sex. We are all human. We all have rights, and I believe that loving anyone you desire is one of them. Whether we are heterosexual, homosexual, bisexual, transsexual and so forth, we have all share the same rights. We are a community. STAND UP FOR WHAT IS RIGHT AND SUPPORT OUR FELLOW LGBTQ HUMANS.

Be kind, and you will receive many benefits of your kindness.
